Prepping For Class

Hydrate

Drink plenty of water throughout the day so you’re well hydrated before coming to class. Good hydration supports the healthy function of all of your body’s systems, and it makes the heat feel comfortable rather than overwhelming. Avoid eating heavily w ithin 2 hours of the start of class.

Clothing

Dress in cool, comfortable clothes. We suggest sporting a tee or tank on top and form-fitting yoga pants, capris or shorts on the bottom. Avoid long sleeves, socks or pants. We have a selection of clothing and accessories for both men and women designed specifically for hot yoga.

Equipment

Yoga mat, a large bath towel, and drinking water. We have these items available at the studio for rent or sale.

Less Is More

Leave watches, cell phones or pagers, food, perfumes and clutter outside the Yoga room. Enjoy distraction free quiet time for yourself.

Check In

Arrive Early

Nothing’s worse than a last minute stress fest! Do yourself a favor and consider being prompt a part of your yoga practice by arriving 15-20 minutes early for classes. Arriving early ensures a stress free and relaxed beginning to your life long hot yoga practice. We start class on time to end on time, for your safety and out of respect for everyone’s quality of yoga experience. You can save yourself some more time for your first class by purchasing our introductory special online.

Sign In

Please be sure to sign in early at the front desk. This gives us time for registration and orientation. Be sure to let the front desk know it’s your first class and we will get you prepped with a welcome tour of the studio!

We have a wonderful, encouraging, supportive community. We can’t wait for you to experience the love and support your first class! Remember, everyone had their very first hot yoga class, even the people in front of you who have been practicing for years. They make it look easy because they persevered, and you can too.

It’s Never Too Late

It’s never too bad, and you’re never too old or too sick to start from scratch once again. No need to get in shape to even be flexible before coming to class – that puts the cart before the horse! Come take your first class, and then take class as often as you possibly can and you will quickly lose weight, get in shape, gain flexibility and feel absolutely wonderful.
