Where were you born and where did you grow up?
Born in San Diego, CA and grew up in Memphis, TN
How long have you been practicing Bikram Yoga and what prompted you to take your first Bikram Yoga class?
Practicing since 2007 (first class), consistently practicing since 2010. My lacrosse coach at the time convinced me and a few of my friends/teammates to try it out as cross training.
What do you like to do when you are not in the yoga room?
Juice, cook, be outside, listen to music, make art, read and dance.
What is your favorite pose in the Bikram series and why?
Do i have to pick just one?!?! They tend to shift around depending on what i’m focusing on, but right now I love a nice, long triangle so i can really explore inner thighs and hips.
What advice would you give to any new student?
Be compassionate with yourself! Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will your practice. Give it time and try to enjoy every step of the way.
